SPECIALTIES AND EDUCATIONAL STAGES

029 Digital Archives and Library Science provides the following degrees:

  • Bachelor̕ s degree based on full Secondary education
  • Bachelor̕ s degree is on the basis of the Junior specialist diploma
  • Master̕ s degree based on higher education - 1.5 years of study

Digital Archives and Library Science is based on the study of disciplines providing a thorough training in the field of administrative, personnel document science, electronic governance, management of documentation processes in institutions and organizations, information-analytical activities, social communications, and so on.

This specialty provides the ability of future specialists to work with modern information systems and technical support in the field of information, library and archival affairs; develop management documents in accordance with applicable standards. They can organize work with documents in institutions, organizations, enterprises; to carry out an examination of the scientific and practical value of documentary information intended for management; implement progressive information systems for the management process.

029 Digital Archives and Library Science (specialists)

  • Document Expert in Information Systems in State and Commercial Structures;
  • Referent;
  • Information Manager (information-analytical centers, advertising agencies, mass media, publishing houses, information product marketing companies, etc.);
  • Computer Communications Analyst;
  • Head of the Department of International Relations (in political, public organizations, authorities, on radio and television, commercial structures);
  • Specialist in the Analysis of Specialized Documentary Information (patent, bibliographic, archival, economic, scientific and technical);
  • Information Analyst, Scientific and Technical Information Engineer.

121 Software Engineering:

  • Bachelor̕ s degree based on full Secondary education
  • Bachelor̕ s degree on the basis of the Junior specialist diploma

Software Engineering is based on the study of disciplines, providing thorough mathematical and algorithmic training, modern programming languages, computer networks, testing, operating systems and others. The specialty is aimed at the websites development, 3D modeling, computer games, information systems of various complexity, and other applications. Graduates of this specialty have the opportunity to work in companies engaged in service or product development, testing software for various purposes.

121 Software Engineering (specialists)

122 Computer Science provides the following degrees:

  • Bachelor̕ s degree based on full Secondary education
  • Bachelor̕ s degree on the basis of the Junior specialist diploma
  • Master̕ s degree on the basis of higher education

The specialty Computer Science is based on the study of disciplines, providing programming in object-oriented environments knowledge; architecture of modern computer systems; modern algorithmic programming languages; modern operating systems; database development, organization of functioning and design of automated information systems; artificial intelligence development systems and their application in intelligent decision-making systems and so on.

The specialty is aimed at developing mechanisms and schemes for information processing and data presentation.

122 Computer sciences (specialists):

  • Developer of Software and Software Systems;
  • Analyst of IT Projects and Programs;
  • Administrator of Computer Networks;
  • IT Project Manager;
  • System Administrator;
  • Database Administrator;
  • WEB Designer and Programmer.

EIT certificates:

  1. Ukrainian language (not less than 100 points).
  2. Mathematics (at least 100 points)
  3. Physics or Foreign Language * (minimum 100 points).

125 Cybersecurity provides the following degrees:

  • Bachelor̕ s degree based on full secondary education - 4 years of study
  • Bachelor̕ s degree  on the basis of Junior specialist  diploma - 3 years of study
  • Master̕̕ s degree based on higher education - 1.5 years of study

Cybersecurity specialty is based on the study of disciplines providing knowledge of modern methods of software protection, cryptography, Internet security, testing of computer equipment, programs and data and other modern technologies.

This specialty is aimed at developing mechanisms for designing information security systems, organizing information security and cyber security services for enterprises, developing and maintaining cyber defense systems, and more.

NEWS OF OUR FACULTY
  • Students of the Faculty of Information Systems and Technologies are the finalists of the Golden IT-2018 International Talent Competition; finalists of the Startup competition "StartUp Breakthrough - 2019";
  • The students of the faculty receive creativity training under the CreativeSpark educational program from Kingston University (UK) and Lviv Polytechnic National University.
  • On a regular basis, trainings on the development of entrepreneurial thinking under the program of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Network of Academic Business Incubators YEP are held;
  • Creative space was opened up for our students (cozy co-working with lecturer, personal computer and relaxation area) and startup club "StartUpClub EU";
  • According to the decision of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the network of business incubators YEP Startup club of the European University was recognized as the most successful club in 2018-2019. Among more than 30 other clubs developing academic entrepreneurship in the country's universities.

SPECIAL OFFER FOR STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGIES - DUAL DIPLOMA DEPARTMENT IN UKRAINE-POLAND

The European University has signed a cooperation agreement with the Academy of Higher School of Business (Poland, Dabrowa Gurnicza), providing the students of the Faculty with simultaneous studying at both universities. Upon graduation, they will receive two diplomas (Ukraine and Poland).

FACULTY GUIDE

Kurguzenkova Lyudmila Anatoliivna is a Dean of the Faculty of Information Systems and Technologies, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor. She has got two higher education (technical and economic). Graduated from National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" and Private Higher Educational Institution "European University". She has been working at the university since 2003. She has extensive scientific-pedagogical and practical experience in the sphere of pedagogical activity, personnel management and practical entrepreneurship. More than 45 scientific and educational works have been published. Scientific interests are business analysis, digital economy.

Yulia Galitska is a secretary of the Dean's Department.

The Faculty of Information Systems and Technologies consists of two departments providing professional training for students:

  • Department of Information Technology, Cybersecurity and Mathematical Sciences;
  • Department of Documentation, Information, and Analytical Activity.
